My partner who loves a breakfast and can stomach most, had yogurt and wanted to leave to go elsewhere as the smell is rotten. The view from our balcony on the 23rd floor is amazing, looking straight at the castle and marina. The bed is so hard our backs were in agony come morning and I even heard a man peeing in the next room in the middle of the night and the walls are that thin you hear every door close.
I will stay again next time live here

Sorry Melia you need to remove your name from this hotel.
We booked for 2 nights and left after only 15 hours, we paid £145 to book the Melia Alicante on the beachfront which was worth every penny and feels safe.

We are very happy with this lovely hotel. The smell is unreal, they use strong air freshener at the entry level then after that the sewage smell is awful.
Each floor should be protected with a fire door. Conveniently situated in the Alicante City Center part of Alicante, this property puts you close to attractions and interesting dining options. Oh did I mention bed rock hard. The lift is unsafe, it shakes & the noise is unsettling, it does not open level with each floor and every time it’s used the noise throughout the hotel is infuriating (it’s like table & chairs being scraped along flooring) - I slept no more than 1 hour.
The perfect hotel is located in close proximity to the La Playa in Alicante. This 4-star property is packed with in-house facilities to improve the quality and joy of your stay.

The location is perfect and the view is amazing. Very disappointed for a quick break .

Don't recommend at all. The breakfast was okay, even good.
If you stay on the 24th floor, you can see the whole of Alicante and have a beautiful sea view. The position beside the marina and old town is superb.
