1: A hot rotisserie chicken (without stuffing or sauces).
2: A bag of salad or leafy greens.

When you get home it takes no time at all to put the keto Caesar salad on your kitchen table and throw some extra ingredients together that you have probably sitting in the fridge already such as cheese, olives, avocado, etc.

Clean Ingredient Caesar Dressing

What I’m not really fine with at all is preservatives and artificial anything in my food. With my recipe, there are no artificial flavors, dyes or e-numbers.

They are able to choose whichever ingredients they like from the fridge and add them to their salad. Any other salad ingredients you need to use up can be added next such as baby tomatoes, spring onions, or cucumber cubes. When the skillet/griddle is hot, add the chicken and cook, turning as needed, until fully cooked through and no longer pink.

Parmesan cheese – whether you like shredded parmesan cheese, grated parmesan cheese, or sliced, the flavour is excellent with this recipe!

Blue cheese – to amp up fat and flavour, I add a sharp blue cheese.

Simply ask for no croutons, extra cheese, extra chicken, and often a poached egg is available as a salad optional extra. Stir to evenly coat.

Is restaurant Caesar salad keto?

Most traditional Caesar salads are not keto but with a few simple changes, you can lower the carbs and increase the protein.

I was also immature and didn’t know why I wasn’t okay with that, just that it sounded gross.

I’m still not a fan of canned fish (which is unfortunate since my whole family loves sardines), but I’m totally fine with them in my salad dressing if I can’t really taste them. It is therefore always worth making your own dressing instead of buying a ready-made one.

Protein

Instead of grilled chicken, feel free to add another source of protein.

Common Caesar salad ingredients are lettuce, croutons, garlic, Dijon mustard, black pepper, Worcester sauce, anchovies, eggs, and parmesan cheese.

But with a few simple changes, you can lower the carbs and increase the protein to make it perfect for the high-protein low-carb diet, low-carb diet or keto diet.

I was not okay with that. Why not add cooked diced bacon and avocado too? I refuse to buy salad dressings at the grocery store because they all have weird ingredients, and for some unknown reason, a surprising number of restaurants add sugar to their salad dressings. Parmigiano Reggiano is aged longer than parmesan cheese and can add a deeper flavour.

I’m not picky about much, except fishy things.
